Angela has worked in healthcare for over 20 years. She started off volunteering as a physical therapy technician before following a career path into corporate health law. During her legal career, she was published in the Minnesota Journal of Law Science and Technology on moral concerns in healthcare technology, guest lectured at the University of Minnesota Law School on commercialization of medical devices, completed a fellowship assisting with the development of pediatric translational research, opened 3 medical legal partnerships for low income communities, served as a MUSC Presidential Scholar and Equal Justice Works Fellow and was a board member for Cancer Legal Care.
She decided to return to patient care as a yoga instructor, and later traveled to an ashram in Rishikesh, India to complete her RYT500 yoga certification. She teaches to private clients, at retreats and resorts, and has taken over 800hrs in yoga training. She integrates Eastern yogic techniques with Western medicine and specializes in yoga for working professionals, seniors and veterans. She is completing her Masters Program in Yoga Therapy, eRYT200 and C-IAYT Certification, and also owns a yoga studio called YOGIC™ - a yoga wellness company dedicated to integrating personal well-being into corporate culture.
Angela’s passion for creating avenues for others to become more healthy, balanced and productive, both at work and at home, is a lifelong pursuit. When she is not working, she enjoys volunteering in kids ministry, surfing, and helping her dogs Bonny Roo and Lucky Kai with their charity company DOGIC which hosts fundraisers by the dogs, and for the dogs!
